Spring Grounds Cleanup

Where: North Cemetery, 845 E. Miller Rd. Lansing, MI

When: Sunday, April 27, 2025

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm

Join us for the annual Spring Grounds Cleanup at North Cemetery! As the weather warms and nature begins to bloom, we’re coming together to tidy up the grounds, clear debris, and prepare the cemetery for the season ahead. We will be providing rakes, trash pickers, landscape bags and disposable gloves.

Veteran's Headstone Cleaning

Where: North Cemetery, 845 E. Miller Rd. Lansing, MI

When: Sunday, April 27, 2025

Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Join us for as we learn about tombstone cleaning and get some hand on experience as we clean select veteran's markers.

Prior registration is required for participation. Register by email to David Thompson at portunes@outlook.com.

Participates must have attended one cleaning class prior to independent work. After attending class, participants must provide their own brush and pail, all other materials will be provided by D. Thompson.

Memorial stones to be cleaned will be identified and marked prior to work day by D. Thompson.

Annual Geranium Giveaway

Giveaway of geraniums at the Cemetery Courtesy Office to be planted on graves in Mt. Hope, Evergreen, and North cemeteries.

Memorial Day Wreath Presentation

Picnic in Mt. Hope Cemetery

Where: Mt. Hope Cemetery, 1800 E. Mt. Hope Ave., Lansing, MI

When: Sunday, June 22, 2025

Time: 1:00pm - 3:00pm

Join us for a public picnic in the Fratcher Memorial Garden inside Mount Hope cemetery. Bring your own picnic or enjoy subs, canned pop, bottled waters, chips, and cookies.
